Honey Bun Waffles with Over Easy Egg

For a sweet and savory breakfast waffle recipe twist, top your Honey Bun Waffles with a perfectly cooked over-easy egg. This versatile dish is ideal for any setting, offering a unique and satisfying option that’s great for breakfast, brunch, or even a quick snack for schools, hospitals, or other facilities.
Ingredients:
4 Fieldstone Bakery Honey Buns
4 large eggs
Non-stick cooking spray for the waffle iron
Butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional topping: chopped parsley
Directions:
Preheat your waffle iron.
Lightly spray or butter the waffle iron to prevent sticking.
Place a Honey Bun in the center of the waffle iron and close the lid.
Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the Honey Bun is golden and crispy on the outside.
While the waffle is cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of butter on a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Crack an egg into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolk remains runny, about 3-4 minutes.
Season the egg with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove the waffle from the iron, place the over-easy egg on top, garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
